For me it is the whole package. The fact that now days you can buy half a game then need to download stuff (don't mind patches to fix bugs) on day one kind of ruins it for me. So for me the Golden Age was between say 1995 to about 2005/07.
Movies were best in the 80s. Only decent stuff these days is the Marvel movies really.
TV Shows, there have been good shows in the past but I agree, for TV it has been the Golden Age. Bigger budgets, better stories and actors who can acts. It used to be FUCK your career is over since you now dropped from movies to TVs. Many top actors would not touch TV. Now being a TV star on a big series is like wow great talent.
