Ya, he came to the post game press conference with a cast on his hand and everything, told reporters he "basically played with a broken hand" after game one. Made jokes about it. One big circus act if you ask me.

I mean, it could be but it would be incredibly dumb since such an act could be easily and quickly exposed.  And it was a small soft cast used for minor injuries, not a hard one for serious stuff.
