Well due to the Cavs being in a bad place with regards to the cap and trade potential he almost has no choice if he wants a competitive shot.
And on a side note just to kinda put an end on the discussion I was having before, I don't think the Warriors are a bad team, they're a great team. I just think they're a bit overblown, especially their 2016 squad. And in truth, a good ammount of my distaste comes from a bit of a petty perspective. We SHOULD be in the 4th year of an epic rivalry, an intense battle between two great and dominant teams. After 2016, the stage was set for a fantastic era of basketball with a great rivalry we haven't had in some time.
But instead we got this. Rather than the tiebreaker between these two teams the Warriors got Durant and here we are.
The league is unbalanced and in complete disarray, multiple teams with the right foundation are trapped by the salary cap and unable to increase their firepower to the necessary level, and instead of an epic clash of rivals the finals is just a foregone conclusion. It is, quite frankly, a pretty lame league right now.
Now it will improve. The the league has had these peruods before but it always evens out. It just sucks that we went into one of these lame perikds when by all rights we were at the dawn of a great one.
