You know I would start with the older ones since they don't have such a story/puzzle focus as the rest of the Zelda. It is also how the series started. Also if you play the latter, better games you might find it hard to get into them unless you're not that type of person. *Shrugs*
Anyways, I'm pretty sure you'll have fun with them, however you play them. It is a masterpiece series even though it doesn't sell as much as some other series, it's the kind of game people know they'll never get tired of and it'll always be a system seller.
