The last news of the week:

https://www.pcgamer.com/the-games-industry-reacts-to-valves-divisive-steam-store-curation-policy/
Steam's new 'anything goes' policy is doomed from the start, reckons Tyler. Valve's decision to no longer police games on Steam—except for those that are illegal, constitute "trolling," or fail to meet technical quality standards—is a contentious one, which the publisher spent 1,000 words attempting to explain yesterday.

https://www.pcgamer.com/oops-blizzard-accidentally-made-symmetra-the-most-powerful-character-in-overwatch/
Symmetra's long-awaited rework went live on the Overwatch PTR earlier this week, but in the days since, an exploit has been discovered that lets the newly redesigned hero pump out massive damage. Her reworked kit is meant to deal more damage than before, but the exploit lets her rip through enemy heroes in a fraction of a second.

Bulkhead Interactive held a Battalion 1944 tournament back at the beginning of April, with €5000 and a selection of unique skins going to the winners of UK-based esports organization Endpoint. But the skins were slow in coming (and apparently still haven't been delivered), leading one of the team members, SUSPC7, to complain about the situation on Discord—a complaint that included a threat to shoot up the studio, complete with a reference to the April shooting at YouTube.

Avalanche Studios, the developer of Mad Max and the Just Cause games, announced today that it's working on a new open-world shooter called Generation Zero. Set in Sweden in the 1980s (Avalanche is based in Stockholm), it's a vaguely Terminator-like tale of a world that's been taken over by machines, and humanity's efforts to survive against them.
A new Strange Brigade trailer showcases pulpy co-op combat

A new trailer for the co-op shooter Strange Brigade shows off gunplay, puzzle-solving, and some supernatural shenanigans in '30s Egypt as it might have been imagined by Edgar Rice Burroughs, or perhaps Steven Spielberg.

When it released exclusively for PSVR earlier this year, Moss quickly proved itself among the best VR games available on Sony's console. So it's nice to see that the game is now available on Steam, and that it's available for both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.

Blizzard walks back Hearthstone update following fan backlash (Updated)
https://www.pcgamer.com/hearthstones-latest-nerf-has-players-feeling-short-changed/
Until now, I wasn't sure how many Burgle Rogue players there were, but judging by the angry reaction to Hearthstone's latest balance patch, it's way more than I imagined. Fans are demanding full Arcane Dust refunds following a recent update which quietly changed multiple legendaries, including the Rogue class card Tess Greymayne.
Update: Blizzard has reverted the changes to Tess Greymane. Community manager Jesse Hill confirmed this in a Battlenet forum post.
