I hope this is true. Xbox is becoming Microsofts in house PC brand more and more everyday, and I love it. Hopefully they eventually allow Steam, Origins, Uplay, and such as well. This is a great direction for Xbox that gives it its own identity in the console space. Ever since they upgraded the browser and data managment a few weeks ago, I have been using my XOX a lot more. If they do indeed go through with this, I will likely gravitate even more to the system. I will never buy a digital assistant speaker, but as part of a great product I already own like XOX, I am all about getting the most from it.

Considering Win 10 is MS's PC brand OS, and how they've been trying to merge both Xbox and Win 10 together, it's not really the other way around.

I don't see Xbox One let alone next gen magically allowing all the PC based clients onto their system and suddenly being able to play PC client based games on the system either.

It's not really giving it much of an identity, since PC has access to all the other clients within the PC space. Windows xp-10 has access to all the clients.
