Sony's tried to acquire Insomniac before. Insomniac wanted to stay independent. That said, Insomniac continues to have a very good working relationship with Sony.
My guess is that Sony is going to attempt to pick up Kojima Productions after Death Stranding is released unless it bombs hard.
Bluepoint is exceptional at porting games. I figure Sony is probably going to give them a chance at developing their own game at some point in the future.
