Reviews are personal opinions, if they don't like the game because they don't like the genre than they have the right to give it a low score, clearly indicating that this game isn't for everyone. Which is correct, this game isn't for everyone. Getting a 100 score for a game sitting on average of 75 is no different to a game getting a 40 on a average of 80 scores. You cannot pick and choose what reviews you accept and cannot. Its rather you balance out the good and the bad reviews or don't complain about it at all. You are clearly nit picking what you only want to read which comes back to my point, who cares? This has nothing to do with Me, Fanboys, Xbox, PC, Nintendo and even Sony, so stop trying to include them in this.. this is about the review issues YOU have, that's what I am replying to. Don't like them don't read them, why does it matter so much to you? I clearly stated to you that review scores don't effect my gaming, I just play games regardless of the hate, *hint* You should do the same. |
We are talking about professionals that should give professional analysis not purely opinion. There are plenty of technical aspects on games to be evaluated besides "i like it". You need a score on a Fifa or GT to know if you like futball or racing game, really?
It seems that it is hard for you to believe that most VGChartian when commenting on metacritic will say they don't consider the score on metacritic as the main factor, but actually read two or three reviewers that he knows have similar taste before making his purchase decision? And why should any simfan consider the opinion of someone that HATEs the genre and gives her score based on that?
Again you ask why does it matter, as if it's irrelevant, but here you are I believe in the third playstation exclusive in a row talking about it... Remind me the playstation exclusives you have played (and of course can prove) in the last 24 months?
