I've installed every game on my HDD so far, since that drive is bigger. I guess they may be a bit slower because of it, but since my SSD isn't very big I want to make sure that it's for the essentials. I may end up getting a larger drive eventually I guess, but at the moment I'm fine.

AAA games are more or less built with the PS4 and XOne's cheap HDDs limits in mind, so you're going to be fine.
Unless you try to play something like Star Citizen.
