I do agree with Pemalite when he says that Sony could make a SW emulation on PS4 for PS3, because they know the HW perfectly and would be able to make it happen but the cost to develop and lost sales of remasters aren't interesting for Sony.

I don't. I just have a hard time believing that the Jaguar CPU can effectively emulate the Cell. And definitely not well enough for all games to run as well as on the OG HW. Now, Ryzen? Sure. That should have no problem doing it.
