Many editors say the game has the most interesting characters of the year (currently) and the atmosphere / staging is incredible - especially the story, emotions, soundtracks and decision possibilities are praised :) A game with love to detail and its beautiful. I'm looking forward to tomorrow :)

Exactly how you made it look like one of the best games of the year, someone can just as easily make it look like a mediocre game. Look:

Kotaku - "Part of my frustration with Detroit is that I've spent the last several years watching other game developers make far better narrative-focused games, often with substantially fewer resources."
VideoGamer - 4/10
Digitally Downloaded - 2/5
Slant Magazine - 2.5/5
God is a Geek - 5/10
Variety - "The obvious comparisons to racial and religious persecution feel uncomfortable at times, with too much spoon-fed to the player."
Metro GameCentral - 6/10
Gadgets 360 - 6/10
Digital Chumps - 6.5/10
Paste Magazine - 6.7/10
TrustedReviews - 3.5/5
VG247 - "The biggest crime a piece of media can make is to be boring and Detroit is as guilty as can be."
Push Square - 7/10
USGamer - 3.5/5
AusGamer - 7/10
Destructoid - 7/10
CGMagazine - 7/10
GameSpot - 7/10
Oyungezer Online - 7/10
The Verge - "All of that work feels wasted, tied to a story that, by the end, feels meaningless."

Don't read just the good reviews or just the bad ones. For you to see the bigger picture, you have to read reviews from both sides. If you only read the reviews that give the game great scores, you'll probably end up disappointed.

The truth is Detroit Become Human doesn't seem to be a masterpiece nor a mediocre game, but a pretty good one.
