Nathan Drake returning to Uncharted could cause fatigue. It's been said it's his last appearance in Uncharted and the next Uncharteds should be about Chloe and Sully.

Not all games with AAA budget can be successful. We don't need another situation where people will lose jobs because their game wasn't profitable.

Nathan Drake is more popular than Resistance. Nothing will be ruined unless it is a bad game.

The likelihood of Resistance with a good protagonist flopping is higher than Nathan Drake starring in it. Nathan Drake starring in another series would atleast create some hype from Uncharted fans missing him.
