They are selling it 50$ less because there is no ac adapter, no hdmi, Joy-Con grip and no dock. plus sales are pretty slow in japan, and they charge 30$ for the ac adapter which is a must, and costs like 2$ to mass produce. you can get a decent  dock not made by nintendo for 30$, so if a company thats not mass producing them can make them for about 15$ what do you think it cost nintendo?

With this you're assuming Nintendo is cutting into their own margins? $15 to produce the dock (up from your original assertion of $10 a few posts ago), $2 to produce the adapter, and what another couple bucks for the HDMI cable? Something is amiss in your estimations if Nintendo is taking off $50 for the missing items. We all know Nintendo doesn't cut into their own margins, they wouldn't even do it with Wii U.

there not taking 50$, because the ac adapter is a must buy, it retails for 30$. if the customer ever  wants  to hook it to a tv and wants official nintendo products  hes gonna need a joy con grip, dock, hdmi, basically spend another 140$.
