I agree with what you posted and why it is so bad when they decide to make out of character changes to promote an IP. And that is why I love Manga, new IPs all the time, and they have coherence.

I'm sure Hollywood would never do wrong by a beloved manga/anime series...

I love dragonball, but still didn't get the balls to try this one for more than the first 5 min =p

But I was talking more about Japanese market than the bizarre of Hollywood "whitewash" and other poor adaptations.

And what good reason was there for know after 30 years it need to be explicit??? And again you are ignoring the guy saying he played it as a hetero. I don't even remember the last time anyone had to declare he is hetero for anyone to care.

How many pale white / dark brow twins do you know? Besides the fact that it wasn't the original characterization.

What does playing it as a hetero even mean? Your sexual orientation is determined by which gender you are sexually attracted towards, so if sexual attraction was not present I have no idea what that is even supposed to entail. And yes, white and black twins do exist:

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/real-life-stories/black-white-twins-meet-sisters-5256945

The actor said the char was written as being hetero and he played as hetero, go challenge both on what was that supposed to mean. But again since the way it plays doesn't imply he is hetero he could be gay, showing again how useless is to go 30 years after and decide to make it relevant.

I didn't say they don't exist, I do know genetics (off course unless a bizarre mutation occurs a "single twins" would be same gender, color, face, etc) and that melanine is something like 16 pointers so you could have a father that have 16 markers and very dark, and a mother that is 0 and very white, with the children being very dark or pale even as twin. What I said it isn't common, which would even ensure people making news about it, and that it wasn't how the characters were created.
