Sales will continue to soar as long as Sony does 3 things: 1) Release a limited amount of bundles/BC models to have a like-effect on sales as Nintendo's highly successful psychological advertising has managed to move the casual gimmick machine - the "well, might as well get it now because there's no telling when I'll see it in stock again" mentality. 2) Keep the BC model available as a normal SKU or bring out the long rumored emulation for the 40GB SKU (would be good for JP/Others especially). 3) Get aggressive and go for MS's throat - don't allow MS to keep moneyhatting big exclusives and make it more attractive for third-party companies to push their products on the Sony platform. Rebuild the loyalty that existed on the PS2. |
so what you're saying is no one actually wants an 80g ps3 people are just being tricked into it? gotcha.
