EA has been quietly packing its paid subscription service, Origin Access, with a long list of excellent games over the past few months. It all started when it let third-party publishers in on the act, adding most of the Batman games. Both The Witness and Wasteland 2 weren't far behind, and last month Mad Max, Pillars of Eternity and Torment: Tides of Numenera all entered the fray. This month, it's the turn of relaxing underwater explorer Abzû and old-school RPG Tyranny, as well as seven others. They'll all be available to subscribers tomorrow.

Modder ‘Bdogs’ has released a brand new mod for Fallout 4. According to the modder, the Fallout 4 Enhanced mod aims to fix various bugs and rebalance the game in order to provide a more tactical feeling and a better RPG experience. Contrary to other mods, however, this one aims to stay close to the vanilla version and vision of its creators.

Last week, we informed you about a possible reveal of the new Battlefield, which appears to be called Battlefield V, will be revealed on May 23rd. And today, comedian actor Trevor Noah confirmed that Electronic Arts will host an event on May 23rd in order to reveal its new Battlefield game.

Square Enix has released a new patch for the Steam version of Chrono Trigger. According to the release notes, this patch adds a new battle user interface (UI) based on the look and feel of the original game, an option to select between the UI optimised for controller/keyboard mentioned above, and the current UI optimised for mouse & touch panels, and a new pause button/key that can be used during battle.

 

Tennis World Tour releases on June 12th

Mistaken Visions has announced that its noir-influenced horror game, The Piano, will now release via Steam on June 4th, and that it will be priced at $9.99. The game had previously been slated for release on 24 May but an unexpected technical issue has meant the launch has had to be slightly delayed.

Take-Two’s chief executive officer Strauss Zelnick claimed something that may – or may not – please a number of PC gamers. During the company’s financial conference call for the fiscal year ended on March 31st, Zelnick said that the PC has become a very important platform to Take-Two.

RAGE 2 won’t feature any loot boxes

In an interview with GameStar, id Software’s Tim Willits confirmed that RAGE 2 will not feature any loot boxes. As Willits claimed, id Software and Avalanche Studios will offer a game that players will be able to immediately experience when they purchase it. However, Willits claimed that RAGE 2 will be based on the “Games as Service” model.

Creepy Jar has announced that it is working on a new first-person survival game that will be set in the Amazonian rainforest, called Green Hell. Green Hell is developed by former Dying Light and Dead Island developers and will pit you against the predators, disease, and the Amazon itself.

 

Shenmue 3 – New in-engine trailer surfaces

During a THQ Nordic meeting, Deep Silver and Ys NET presented a new in-engine trailer for Shenmue 3. This trailer shows the current state – visual-wise – of the game, though we expect it to look better than what is being showcased here. After all, this is pre-alpha footage.
