Seems to me that this is on the developer instead of Microsoft. Undead Labs should of had plenty of money and plenty of time to deliver a superior product.
The only way that I can see this as Microsoft's fault is if they're not giving a good payout to developers for inclusion in that game pass thing. If they're limiting sales potential without a proper financial return then I wouldn't blame a developer for a low budget effort. I have trouble believing that would be the case, however, if Microsoft really wants this strategy to succeed.
