Yeah, plenty of signs that this is real. I'm really interested in the idea of a reboot rather than a remake and I'm interested in how they're going to change things up. Not that hot on Go functionality; I'd assume that's optional. My guess is the only mechanic they really integrate is the streamlined catching for wild Pokemon, with tougher Pokemon (i.e. legendaries etc) requiring that you fight them and weaken them to catch them. My one concern would be that Game Freak haven't pushed the Switch very far technically; that kind of conservatism is typical of them.

I'd like to see this become a game as service, especially if it meant a new region was added each year (or available to buy).

EDIT: Capitalising on Pokemon Go also makes a great deal of sense. Given 750 million people downloaded Go, you only need to reach a tiny percentage of that userbase to add new customers to Pokemon's main games and to the Switch userbase. A conversion rate of ~0.5 to 1% would mean anywhere from 3 to 8 million new Switch users.
