Twisted Metal Black came out in mid-2001, so perhaps a better comparison would be Twisted Metal 4 for the PS1, released in 1999, when the PS1 had a huge install base. That game sold only about 1.25 million, and that was back when people actually cared about the Twisted Metal franchise.

As for LBP, we'll see, but the fact that it's a cutesy casual game on a hardcore-geared platform, combined with the developer's unproven track record (the only game they've made before was the dismal Rag Doll Kung Fu), has me doubtful, to say the least.

And on a final note: If you're going to sound like a jack-ass, at least try to do so in style, rather than that "hurr I'm right you're wrong" schtick. It just makes you sound like a twelve year old.

Fair points; I knew all that and that such things can be spun both ways. Nevertheless, I think that an accurate finger on the pulse of PS3 (yes, MGS4 sales are a part of it) discloses that these games will sell higher than the original prediction I was responding to. Are you telling me you think these 3 games will sell closer to 999,999 each than to 3, 2, and 2 mil? Let's wait and see, then.

Your original use of "fanboy" toward me was inappropriate given that I'm probably more right than the post I was responding to (to be more right than the prediction of "under a million each", the games have to sell 2, 1.5, and 1.5 million respectively....and for my predictions I get called a fanboy....) Your last paragraph here is therefore especially funny, as you add additional epithets and insinuations. You are using the same "schtick" I am, except that you seem to like ad hominem attacks more. Your last paragraph is intended to give the appearance of your victory while adding insults. But I think I will be proven right...far too late to confront you on your small-mindedness and disrespect. But that's the internet for you.

@ libellule: MGS4 is the exception that proves the rule, rather than the opposite. No other hyped PS3 exclusive thus far has so defied skeptics' predictions, and I have doubts that any title outside of FFXIII will, either.
