Valve is paying hackers thousands of dollars for discovering Steam security flaws (Updated)

Valve is offering cash to hackers that can identify security flaws in Steam, and is handing out thousands of dollars to anyone that can find a potentially critical exploit.
Update: It appears Valve has been paying "ethical hackers" for at least the last seven months to find security flaws in Steam and related platforms, but it only came to light this week because its post on HackerOne was previously private. That means that the $109,000 it has handed out has been paid over a much longer timescale than I initially suggested. The full activity page shows a list of all the payments it has made.

Before continuing, let us tell you that the game is unplayable due to its low performance. However, the fact that it goes in-game is a great achievement for its development team.

 

Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain “Quest Sand” mod adds six new side operations

This mod, called Quest Sand features unique routes – a new one for each mission – and has new situations and places so it can provide a new experience to MGS 5 fans.
Created by modder ‘Ventos’, these missions use Quest Number between 46660 to 46665 and Quest category “Story”. Do note, however, that they require Infinity Heavens in order to be played and selected via the menu.

Ready At Dawn has announced that it will be shutting down the servers for its physics-based arena brawler, Deformers, in its Western and European markets on August 9th. According to the team, Deformers was no longer financially viable in the West and in Europe, which is why it decided to shut down its servers.

Obsidian Entertainment has released the first beta patch for Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire. As we have already reported, Bethesda was gearing up for a RAGE 2 announcement today. And… well… the game’s official announcement trailer has been leaked online. This trailer confirms that the game is real, and that the Walmart listing was legit (at least for this particular title).
UPDATE: Bethesda has revealed the full live-action announcement trailer, and announced that a gameplay trailer will be coming out tomorrow.
