Now thats a different topic isnt it?
I go for stairway to heaven. I have such a respect for the quality of the material Page produced on studio in early 70's. Its so well recorded, so full of layers, with a memorable solo and progression. Its like the basis for all songs that "start slow and ends epic". I will never forget the impact I had when listened it for the first time. Also, it has messages to the devil backwards which gives it an advantage
On the other hand, november rain is absolutely amazing, one of the best ever. Slash mentions on his book that axl spent a huge amount of time on the song, recording all those keyborads making it sound like an orchestra. I was very impressed when he mentions that actually all that was keyborads... there is no orchestra recorded for the song. Its amazing.
Such a shame Guns had to end at that time.. they probably still had one more masterpiece in their hands to release...
