i see them converging as one when the tech is available to project items in a room with out the need of a headset.
at the moment i have tried psvr and i liked it.
i have not tried any others due to the high price of gear, and not to mention a complete computer overhaul, which is NOT happening at today's prices so that's is still at least 2 or so years away of even considering a new pc build, so no telling what will be out then.
