I don't think it's a matter of the hype of GoW ignoring the past excitement over BotW, but it's just that: being excited for the title. There's no need for a comparison and I'm glad there isn't one. People can be excited for both separately. Zelda already had it's moment to shine, so there really isn't a need to mention it here with GoW.
