I completely agree.And honestly, I think its rather easy to reinvent it.You just have to merge the traditional Mario 2D games with the Mario Maker aspect into one single package and make that game the new ongoing structure for the "genre".In that, you innovate the way the first Mario Maker did, which you could create your own courses anyway you like, and you would add to it a very strong single player campaing which is built from the ground up, with a new artstyle, new machanics, or even a new gameplay idea altogether, and add that artstyle/gameplay style to the online part of it(the Mario Maker part)
