God of War is probably the best game of this generation so far

And first of all, I've played 120hrs of BOTW, I don't see how I'm a "Playstation contrarian". OOT is my favorite game of all time. But sorry, BOTW is not even close to a 20 year old OOT. IF BOTW had proper, complex and massive dungeons, great music, better balanced cooking and a better story it would be the best game of all time. BotW is best game of this gen. That is my opinion, which is shared by many. You can have your own opinion. That is fine. Done.

I agree. The praise it got was just on another level. It’s a generation defining game that will be remembered for that by ages, while I think GoW will be regarded as something excellent, like Uncharted 2 or Super Mario Odyssey.

Btw, I’m enjoying GoW so far, and that’s surprising cause since reveal It felt like a letdown for me, but thankfully that had more to do with the reveal trailer (don’t know how far I’m from completing it, probably still a good way to go, just beat the two brothers), but I don’t think it will come close to Zelda for me unless something drastic happens. Atreus is a pain in the ass, the story is dull so far and the combat too easy. On the good side it has otherwordly graphics (makes me excited to see what PS5 can bring, Kratos is a more likable character now, the setpieces are varied and the feeling of the combat is very good. I’m also curious to see where it leads us.
