I'm about 25 hours in so far, and I am thoroughly exploring everything and doing all sidequests at the earliest opportunity. I must say that the game is absolutely amazing, but maybe it's worn it's welcome a little bit with me. After 25 hours, I am getting to the point where I am wanting to finish the darn thing. Maybe it's just because I played for a great length of time yesterday, and that feeling will change when I get home from work today and start playing again.

The game has fairly in-depth RPG mechanics, all things considered, but a lot of it feels forced. Kratos is Kratos, and therefore, there really is no "build" in this game that's better than the rest. All players will end up the same in the end. Therefore, the skill tree can be kind of pointless, at times, and it's more a matter of which skill do you want to get first.

Keep in mind I am being critical of a game that's freaking amazing, and very well polished. If this wasn't the big AAA game of the season, then I wouldn't point out these flaws, but as a game that's a 95/9.3 MC, I want to point them out.

Also, it's difficult to determine which places you've already explored. Not sure how to include a spoiler tag.

SPOILER (Unless you have reached the first open exploration area):

After reaching the Lake of Nine, there are so many docks, and I explored them all right away. Some of them had areas I couldn't access yet, and it's going to be difficult remembering which ones I need to return to.
