The notion it actually disproves is the one that the Amazon 'Switch bias" is somehow caused by a preferrence in the demographic of likely Switch buyers to somehow have a preference for Amazon purchases. That was a laughable notion and the traction it gained was surprising and a bit infuriating despite some of us suggesting more likely scenarios which included the impact of Multiple SKUs.
Someone even modelled the effect with a scenario using SKUs, can't quite remember who now but some just felt better screaming 'Switch bias'.
