God of War is probably the best game of this generation so far

I can say though that a lot of what I hated was how stiff Hellblade was because of the camera, and though I really don't like the camera in this game, at least it appears as though you can freely manipulate it during combat. I think the retractable axe gimmick looks interesting, as well.

You just gotta trust that after a certain point in the game the combat opens up to be much, much more than it is at the start. As one of the reviewers said "Kratos becomes a hurricane of death".

I'll try to be more optimistic, then! I should get it this week or next.
