You do realise that NPD (just like VGC) estimates the sales numbers of the USA.

If you want to estimate the NPD numbers, you are basically estimating an estimation.

Please don't post nonsense. NPD get real  sales from 90% of retailers, they are so accurate that nintendo/sony/micosoft use there numbers, vgchartz is just some estimate from  few insider sources.

Nonsense? There is no way that NPD tracks 90% of all stores, that is way too expensive. Like all statisticians, they use samples and through a certain methodology they convert these samples into a sales estimate. I am not saying they provide inaccurate numbers.

While you are likely right in 'absolute' terms, this is howeve one of those instances where you have to apply the saying that "All animals are equal but some are more equal than others".

NPD is the most accurate 'estimation' that we have available hence the final authority on the real figures. I believe you are not asking that we need a Sharman to divine what the 100% accurate figures are ?

Oh, I agree that NPD is the most accurate by far. But I find it a bit odd to estimate an estimation. Why don't you begin your own sales tracking methodology of the US gaming market? More competition is always good for an industry :P
