It's just an experimental thing by Nintendo to try and bring in a different kind of audience. It was clearly communicated as being aimed toward kids and kids at heat. Heck! they even didn't include it on a main direct and instead showed it off with a small trailer. It will get trounced in sales by God of war no doubt, which in turn will bring out the trolls calling it a flop. It will sell just average/ ok numbers to begin with, leg out until the holiday season and then hit it's stride. It's not for me personally but like Miiverse drawings and Mario maker levels, im looking forward to seeing creative people's creations.
