Most of their games have come to other platforms.
Artifact, their upcoming game will be coming to Android and iOS.
CS:GO, Portal 2, and The Orange Box (TF2, Portal, HL2, HL2 Episode 1, and HL2 Episode 2) came to both the PS3 and X360 (other games came to other systems too).

Valve hasn't done a very good job at keeping console versions up to date.
Blaming, or at the very least voicing frustration at the friction with updates in closed ecosystems (directed at Google and/or Apple, and the Steam app).
I don't think it it too much of a stretch to extend that to console ecosystems, given that was what the question was about.

I cannot find Gabe's closed ecosystem rant right now.

Again, we've had L4D, TF2 and the portal series going to other systems, that was basically in their general plan for release. What they haven't done is release those games to GoG and the other clients, so they do keep a half form of exclusivity, despite them voicing their disliking of it.
