unfortunately for MS, it took sony over 3 console generations to reach this point. Slowly but steadily building a formidable list of first party studios and as such the condidence in them to let them do what they want. As early as last year MS was still sipping the EA coolaid of saying SP games arent worth it and GAS is the future.

Good luck to them though, they will need it.

I see this whole gen as an opportunity, for them to do just that. Sony really doubled down on expanding the horizons for 1st party content.
