No you're not. No one is ever ready for death or war. Your doctor could tell you tomorrow that you have only 6 months to live because of cancer, and I can assure you that it would hit you like a truck. 

Maybe you are not ready, maybe you live in comfort place and having a good life and forget that we can die at any times , any place in many ways. Yes if people telling me that i could die in a few hours, minute or second, i will be grateful, because at least i know where and when i can die and can prepare before i die.
