I'm going to disagree about Bloodborne having a bad story. It's incredible subtle about it's story that most people can easily complete the game and not even realize that there was a story. I don't agree that makes it a bad story. The game has a fascinating history that you need to pay attention to get it. Just because it doesn't spoon feed you the story, doesn't make it bad. |
The problem I personally have with the story is not the plot per se, but how it is told. You have to go totally out of your way to learn about it, and even then what you get is one plot full of literal holes that you have to fill with..... guesses and imagination.I know there are people out there that likes this, as the director himself said that he made the story like that on purpose because he likes to reach his own conclusions about what happened in a game and wants players to do the same, but thats just either lazy or straight terrible storytelling in my book.Either way, the least you can say about this style is that its completely divesive among gamers, the one that is either most hated or loved betwenn all styles in my opinion.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
