My PS3 arrives next week and this is the only game i intend to get so far.... (maybe uncharted too).. but i dont fancy paying £40 for 6 hours of gameplay and 10 hours of cut scenes...

There is roughly 9 hours of cutscenes and the playtime depends on your skill level and style of gameplay. On average it's around 6-7 hours though.

6-7 hours ...that doesnt sound like much to me... Gears and Halo 3 got slated by ps3 fans for similar.

 

It's not bad for an MGS game. Unlike Gears and Halo the draw of this franchise is the storyline. The gameplay plays second fiddle here and keeping that in mind the improvements made and decent length simply add to the overall value.
