They shouldn't have said anything. No matter what they say, nintendo fans are gonna flip because they can't understand that an underpowered system is a problem to port to.
Nintendo is the only one to blame, imo. They made their choice, with all it's advantages and disavantages. That and people's expectations always running wild.

Yes, i know someone will flip at my comment too, because having an unbiased opinion is an offense. I'll say in advance, i will ignore such posts.

Temper your expectations, it's all i'm saying.

I think you're giving Nintendo fans, which is ironic since you have Ike as your profile pic, little credit in understanding the power of the Switch in comparison to its competitors. As if you're thinking that they're just too naïve to understand the issues of porting from a PS4 to the Switch. I mean, DOOM and Wolfenstein II showed its not easy.

We just think that since Nintendo has the more updated version of UE4, it shouldn't be too crazy of an issue to port, or at least take this long from announcement back in 2015 or even from the Switch presentation back in January 2017. Heck, even at least showing that they care about the 3DS version going West would've been nice too, since VII and VIII had 3DS versions that eventually released in the West.

Apparently, from my understanding of the statement made by Square, DQXI is running under an outdated version of UE4.
