I assume it's just sarcasm due to the social stigma of being an "otaku". Probably has to do with the more ... questionable items, too.
Which is to say, guys like Kouhei (the one with the anime goods) might has unsavory motives.
The others are constantly threatening to call the police on him.
Anyway, I've decided I like Grand Blue despite the whole "LOL NAKED GUYS LOL" thing, which does kind of fade somewhat. The guys are kind of idiots but I like all the main female characters. They all have distinct personalities and are all good characters.
Aina and Chisa are my favorites. Both are really cute in different ways.
Skill of Lure looks interesting, I'll have to check that out. And, as always, Yuru Yuri is awesome. I enjoyed both the anime and the manga immensely.
