Still if a bunch of capitalists or state lovers moved there and started trying to "progress" it to a capitalist state the communists wanting things to keep the same would be trying to conserve the status quo and would be conservatives... and I hardly think you would think they are bad people.

They wouldn't be called progressives though, they'd be considered reactionaries/counter-revolutionaries, as those who are against it would be trying to revert the changes being made.
