At GDC 2018, DICE showcased its Frostbite 3 Engine running real-time ray tracing via NVIDIA’s RTX and the Microsoft DirectX Raytracing API. And while they are not looking as impressive as Epic’s Star Wars demo, they may give us an idea of what we can expect from the first PC games that will be using it.

Ubisoft has just released the first PC patch for Far Cry 5. According to the release notes, this patch fixes low occurrence crashes and walkthrough breaks, low occurrence save corruption and low repro AI issues.

Boss Key Productions has publicly admitted that LawBreakers has failed commercially. And while the team claimed that it is is determined to give this game the second life it deserves, it will now focus on new projects.

 

DayZ will get a new engine upgrade in a couple of weeks on the PC

It appears that the standalone version of DayZ will receive a major engine upgrade really soon. As Eugen Harton, lead producer at developers Bohemia, told PCGamesN, the team is currently working on upgrading DayZ’s game engine and will release this new version in a couple of weeks.

 

The Forest leaves Early Access and fully releases on April 30th
