@bold, this is what I said: "Republicans like to blame mental illness, and I think that's a reasonable thing to look at.  But strangely they don't do anything about it...  Maybe not that strange."  I think there's lots of things that can be done about gun violence.  Regulations, or doing some research into looking into why some areas don't have the same problems.  If it's economic, then let's do something about it.  If it's mental illness, let's do something about that. If it's X, let's do something about that.  I'm in favor of either of those things.  Wouldn't it be great if there was a great solution to the problem without brining in a single new regulation?  Yet it seems instead of trying to come up with solutions, people on the right just come up with excuses.  

 

@underline:  No, if you've actually seen what I've written before, you'd realize that's not the case.  

Potato chips and sprite should definitely be regulated.  Better yet, give tax incentives to healthier food.  That'd be more realistic.  

I was serious about this.  Give tax breaks on healthy food, or tax junk food.  Make healthy food cheaper than unhealthy food.
