They made a biased, extremely subjective, unqualified, and unscientific conclusion.

Does that make you feel better about this garbage study that has already been debunked by several others?

How about this: gun violence has been decreasing in the US along with decreasing gun ownership rates...you don't even have to make a bunch of arbitrary exclusions or notations to show that.

Gun ownership rates: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2016/06/29/american-gun-ownership-is-now-at-a-30-year-low/?utm_term=.4022c2f31131

Gun violence: http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2015/10/21/gun-homicides-steady-after-decline-in-90s-suicide-rate-edges-up/

Ergo, fewer gun owners = less gun violence: you're welcome.

how is a graph plotted with collected data subjective? do you know what subjective and objective mean?

"Does that make you feel better about this garbage study that has already been debunked by several others?"

...you haven't debunked it... all you did was call me a robot

"gun violence has been decreasing in the US along with decreasing gun ownership rates"

"Ergo, fewer gun owners = less gun violence"

my argument to reiterate was not about gun violence but about violent crime

i hardly think that a person who gets killed cares about whether its a knife or a gun that takes their life

See what I bolded...connect the dots yourself.

Violent crime has decreased in the US: http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/01/30/5-facts-about-crime-in-the-u-s/

Gun homicide and ownership rates are much higher in the US than other first world nations: https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/10/2/16399418/us-gun-violence-statistics-maps-charts

Seeing as the gun ownership rates have correlated with decreases in violent crime, but the relatively high rate of gun ownership rates have correlated to much higher rates of gun violence, the data strong indicates that A) decreased gun ownership leads to decreased crime and B) the US has a gun problem.
