They are still pretty potent cards all things considered though.

I still have a chuckle when I look at Radeon RX 580 prices and see my GPU for 50% more than I paid. haha

Ever since that 3.5+0.5 memory split was revealed, I've always been a bit wary of the 970 given that it need "special" drivers to make ir work fine.

But I'm with you on the ridiculous prices of the current GPUs. Let's hope that those new ASIC machines launch soon and make prices go down to more reasonable prices... until the next stupid crypto currency shakes the market again.
