A guy who believes in magical creatures (religion) is hardly the standard-bearer for separating emotion and argument. He also seem to be very irrational in regards to the whole gun argument and way to apologetic when it comes to Trump. |
Straw-manning anyone who believes in religion as someone who is incapable of separating their emotions from arguments is inherently an irrational stance to take. "Person X has religious views Y, therefore he is incapable of separating emotion from reason on all issues" is a logically fallacious argument. If you're going to dismiss people and their arguments based solely on their religious beliefs instead of the merits/flaws of their argument, you're not really in a position to be delineating who is and isn't a paradigm of rationality.
