I would agree with you if PS2/PS3 were the console equivalents of PSP/Vita, but they werent. PS3 & PS4 released just 1.5-2 years after PSP & Vita and they shared the majority of their cycles side by side.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
