SE must be quite unhappy with the mess in which they are with DQXI Switch : the port has been taking time, resources and money for some time already and seeing DQH/DQB sales on Switch, they can't expect very high return. No surprise to see them pushing PS4/PC.

DQH and DQB aren't good gauges for how a Dragon Quest game will sell on Switch. Those games didn't do too hot on PS4 either. Core RPGs in the series since DQ8 have done well overseas. If anything, Switch was DQ's best bet in the west combining the handheld and console nature of it, and considering the Switch lacks huge JRPGS. Xenoblade 2 was the first one and it sold very well. If they really wanted to push it in the west, they'd get a Switch version out sooner to take advantage of how little competition is on the platform regarding JRPGS. Meanwhile PS4 is going to get KHIII, has Ni No Kuni II, FFXV, Tales, etc.
