DB GT has the best opening in the whole series! and better designs (SSJ4 and villains) than DBS! Animation is regular (Normal) and the power levels are logical.
DBS has better fights and arcs than GT, many memorable scenes. The Animation is irregular (poor: Episode 1-39. Normal = Episode 39-66. Amazing: Episode 66-131). DBS takes better advantage of the characters (Goku Vegeta freezer Trunks No 17 Beerus). Soundtrack is good ( > Black Arc ). DBS feels like DBZ 100%.
