It's comparing pears with apples. Fable 2 still feels like an adventure with RPG Elements. The problem of Molyneux games is that this guy always has such big plans and innovations and when you finally played it. He tells you afterwards that there could have been more in it etc...
On sales FF XIII is gonna beat Fable 2. The problem is that we don't have too much information on this game and I wonder when it will get in stores. But allthough FF XII wasn't the best. One thing always has been strong on FF games and that's it's storyline. Combined with superb graphics and a nice new battlesystem it will grab my attention once again. Allthough Versus XIII seems even better at this moment.
