^ Truth.

Type 2 diabetes is when your makeing about enough insoluin, but your body cant make use of it.
Usually it means your running around with too high a blood sugar levels (which can be really bad for you).

Tretment for type 2 is differnt than type 1.

Type 1 is usually eat as much sugar as you want, but meassure it and then take insulin via a injection matching the amounts of sugar you ate.

Type 2 is usually dont ever eat sugar, try to keep your sugar levels as close as possible to the norm value a body needs. Pills that take care off excess is normal.

GProgrammer is right, a type 2 diabetic shouldnt be drinking softdrinks on a daily basis.
But then again its his own life, if he doesnt want to take care off it thats his own issue.
Bad stuff can happpend to diabetics though, like haveing arms/legs amputated as a result, going blind, ect ect.

If I had it, Id probably swear off sugar as much as possible... and be forced to start low carb diets foods.
its a really sucky thing to have, imo its worse than type 1 diabetes.

I have to eat some form of sugar without sugar I will fall into a coma and die .
I dont drink much soda just once a day and its sprite berry mix

You have to keep your blood sugar levels in "normal" ranges.
This ofc means you cant let it drop down to low (like 1-2 range) and risk going into a diabetic coma.

But if you just think keeping it "high" is enough..... its not.
Its not healthy for your body to have periodic or prolonged blood sugar levels that are too high.
Theres a ton of Conditions related to diabetes caused by high blood sugar levels, that ruin you too.

People with diabetes that dont manage their blood sugar right, end up loseing arms/legs, haveing heart attacks, going blind ect ect ect.

Edit:
Nothing wrong with useing Spirte Berry to regulate your blood sugar levels if they drop to low.
