Monday news, *sigh*, part two:

Doppelganger puzzler Echoplex marks full release with neat behind-the-scenes documentary
https://www.pcgamer.com/doppelganger-puzzler-echoplex-marks-full-release-with-neat-behind-the-scenes-documentary/
Launched in full yesterday after a stint in Early Access, Echoplex now packs a full-motion story alongside its maze of neon-bleached, shadow-stalking levels. Built by a modest-sized team, I'm impressed with how far Echoplex has come—a process which is outlined in this behind-the-scenes making of trailer.

Overwatch's new hero Brigitte launches next week, but isn't playable in competitive for a while
https://www.pcgamer.com/overwatch-brigitte-release-date/
Update: Overwatch developer Scott Mercer has confirmed that despite launching next week, Brigitte won't be available for Competitive Play until the beginning of season 10. We're currently in season nine of Competitive Play, which began on February 28 and is expected to last until around the end of April.

>>It launches this week. Tomorrow, to be more precise.

Hearthstone finally gets an official deck tracking app (but only in China)
https://www.pcgamer.com/hearthstone-gets-finally-gets-an-official-deck-tracking-app-but-only-in-china/
Hearthstone is in rude shape right now, with a good amount of deck diversity on the ladder and a spooky expansion waiting around the corner. But there's always room for improvement, and one perennial complaint about the game is that it does a terrible job of tracking your stats. The only data the client exposes in-game is your total number of wins with each class, and overall across constructed and arena. Thin gruel, given that the game is well-suited to statistical analysis, with sites like HS Replay and Vicious Syndicate designed to give players an edge using data. There's also a range of deck tracking software which all use Blizzard's API to give you a ton of extra info and help ensure you know what's left to draw.

>>Maybe they'll bring it over here too.

The Elder Scrolls: Legends is getting a Houses of Morrowind expansion and some big changes
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-elder-scrolls-legends-is-getting-a-houses-of-morrowind-expansion-and-some-big-changes/
Having already done Skyrim and Clockwork City, The Elder Scrolls: Legends is ticking off another stop on the tour guide by heading Vvardenfell for its next expansion: Houses of Morrowind. The new set was announced earlier today and is scheduled for release on March 29. It will add 149 cards to the game based on the mystical realm of the Dunmer, and also make some big changes to the core mechanics of the game, foremost of which are the addition of new three-attribute cards and an increase to the already voluminous deck size limit.

Destiny 2's Heroic Strike modifiers delayed, Crucible Weekly Playlist schedule revealed
https://www.pcgamer.com/destiny-2s-heroic-strike-modifiers-delayed-crucible-weekly-playlist-schedule-revealed/
Bungie has posted a new update to the Destiny 2 development roadmap, and I'm happy to say that very little has changed. Just one thing, in fact: Heroic strike modifiers, which were expected to arrive on March 27 as part of the 1.1.4 update, have been pushed into season 3, which will begin in May with the 1.2.0 update.

Fortnite removes Boogie Bomb to combat unlimited weapon carry glitch
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-removes-boogie-bomb-to-combat-unlimited-weapon-carry-glitch/
Fortnite's Boogie Bomb—which makes your opponents dance on the spot while you watch, laugh, and then shoot them in the head—has been temporarily removed from the game after a player discovered that it allows you to carry an infinite number of weapons and items.

Bit.Trip game Runner3 gets May release date
https://www.pcgamer.com/bittrip-game-runner3-gets-may-release-date/
The next installment in the Bit.Trip Runner series, Runner3, will sprint onto PC on May 22, developer Choice Provisions has announced. As a long-time fan of the pacey platform games, it's one I'm looking forward to: once again, you control the auto-running Commander Video, guiding him through levels by leaping, sliding and kicking.

Arkane's latest Prey DLC hint points to a June 10 launch (or reveal) date
https://www.pcgamer.com/arkanes-latest-prey-dlc-hint-points-to-a-june-10-launch-or-reveal-date/
Prey's latest teaser for what we can now safely assume is an expansion set on the moon hints that publisher Bethesda will reveal all the details in its E3 presentation on June 10—or perhaps even launch the DLC live on air. Developer Arkane Studios tweeted out a picture, below, featuring its employees each revealing a bloodshot eye and holding up cryptic signs. But the blackboard in the top-right is the most revealing bit.

RICO is a co-op cop shooter that harks back to F.E.A.R. in its latest trailer
https://www.pcgamer.com/rico-is-a-co-op-cop-shooter-that-looks-a-lot-like-fear-in-its-latest-trailer/
RICO reminds me of F.E.A.R., the solid horror shooter from Monolith Productions, but without the scary bits. It's a co-op cop shooter in which you and a partner blast through procedurally-generated levels, slipping in and out of slow motion as you bust down doors and shotgun bad guys from three feet away, sending them flying across the room.

Ambitious space MMO Dual Universe hires one of EVE Online's original designers
https://www.pcgamer.com/ambitious-space-mmo-dual-universe-hires-one-of-eve-onlines-original-designers/
Dual Universe's ambitions are vast: it's a space MMO with PvP combat, freeform voxel tech building tools, and an end game in which you have to master a built-in scripting language to reprogram the behaviour of your ship. After Evan saw it up close he described it as "one part EVE, one part Minecraft", which means the latest hire from developer Novaquark is probably a good fit. It's recruited Hrafnkell Oskarsson, one of EVE Online's original designers.

Super Mega Baseball 2 details online multiplayer modes, supports crossplay with consoles
https://www.pcgamer.com/super-mega-baseball-2-details-online-multiplayer-modes-supports-crossplay-with-consoles/
Super Mega Baseball is one of my favourite sports games of the past five years, and the sequel looks like it will improve on the arcadey original in nearly every way. One of the major additions to Super Mega Baseball 2 is online multiplayer, and developer Metalhead Software released a video (above) this week detailing just how that will work.

Nightmarish disco platformer Octahedron gets free demo ahead of Tuesday release
https://www.pcgamer.com/nightmare-disco-platformer-octahedron-gets-free-demo-ahead-of-tuesday-release/
Jody took an in-depth look at Octahedron, a colourful platformer in which you have to escape from a neon underworld, last month, and his piece should tell you whether you'll end up enjoying it or not. But if you're still undecided ahead of the game's release on Tuesday (March 20), then developer Demimonde has released a free demo in which you can try out a selection of levels from the full game.

Bandai Namco's Little Witch Academia RPG out in May
https://www.pcgamer.com/bandai-namcos-little-witch-academia-rpg-out-in-may/
Bandai Namco's beat 'em up version of Netflix-only anime series Little Witch Academia is coming to PC on May 15, the developer has announced. Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time features an original story following the show's main character, Akko, who accidentally creates a time loop in a library (as you do). She and her friends at Luna Nova Academy have to get things back to normal.

Ex-Hitman and The Division devs form new studio to work on unnamed 'cult classic'
https://www.pcgamer.com/ex-hitman-and-the-division-devs-form-new-studio-to-work-on-unnamed-cult-classic/
What do you get when you mix a group of ex-Hitman and The Division developers, who've set off on their own and are working on an as yet undisclosed "cult classic"? You get Sharkmob, a new indie outfit comprised of ex-Ubi and IO folks that's headed by former Massive CEO Fredrik Rundqvist.

Ni No Kuni 2's launch trailer is bursting with colour and battles and fireballs
https://www.pcgamer.com/ni-no-kuni-2s-launch-trailer-is-bursting-with-colour-and-battles-and-fireballs/
Vibrant colour scheme? Yes. Whimsical characters? Uh-huh. Orchestral score? Yup. Big bastard baddies and a fair whack of ham-fisted voice acting? You betcha. Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom's launch trailer is bursting with discernable JRPG traits, and it looks rather wonderful.

Please excuse my bad English.
