Learn about life as a mercenary in this new Battletech trailer
https://www.pcgamer.com/learn-about-life-as-a-mercenary-in-this-new-battletech-trailer/
I don't remember if I ever finished the old Mechwarrior game from back in the day, but I poured an awful lot of hours into it because it was an open-ended game: Players could pursue the main quest, or opt to live the simple life of a merc, cruising the galaxy, taking on jobs, and trying not to die. Harebrained's upcoming Battletech will offer the same sort of option by way of a "mercenary" simulation layer that takes place "a level above" the battlefield simulation.
Here's how to bring Space Cadet 3D Pinball back to Windows
https://www.pcgamer.com/heres-how-to-bring-space-cadet-3d-pinball-back-to-windows/
3D Pinball for Windows – Space Cadet was a digital table released in 1995 as part of the Microsoft Plus! upgrade package for Windows 95. It was later bundled with Windows NT, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP 32-bit, after which it disappeared forever. Or did it?
Obviously, since you're here, you already know that the answer is no, it did not. You can download the executable file from groovypost.com, run it, and within a few seconds have the game back on your PC. It's exactly as it was, although it might look a little smaller than you recall: The window is locked at 640x480 resolution. (Remember, 1280x1024 was cutting-edge visual glory back then.)
>>Umm, despite the low res, I may download it. Mostly because of nostalgia.
In tribute of Stephen Hawking, EVE Online pilots are lighting beacons all across its galaxy

Science fiction owes a great deal to Stephen Hawking. His groundbreaking theories in astrophysics and cosmology helped cement our understanding of everything from black holes to relativity. And when he passed away yesterday at the age of 76, players in the EVE Online community decided to recognize his contributions to science in their own way by covering the night sky in beacons.
Iron Harvest, the RTS about farmers and mechs in the 1920s, is a Kickstarter success

Iron Harvest is an upcoming RTS set in a 1920s we never actually experienced, with giant, steam-driven war-bots and farmers earning fortunes digging up the "iron harvest" of weapons, ammunition, and shrapnel left behind by the First World War. We got a brief look at it in December when developer King Art Games released a trailer showcasing the game's dynamic, destructible cover and said a 1v1 multiplayer mode would be out in the spring. Now the studio has taken the project to Kickstarter in search of funding to support the creation of single-player campaigns.

Vermintide 2 targets 'late April' for Steam Workshop support, devs working to 'remove extreme difficulty spikes'

In his 80-scored review, our Steven described Warhammer: Vermintide 2's combat and level design as "feverishly fun", despite struggling with its matchmaking and RPG progression. Elsewhere, he described the first-person action slasher as "maddeningly difficult". With the latter in mind, developer Fatshark is working to "remove the extreme spikes" and reduce the game's harsh learning curve.
Mods might play a part in this process and Fatshark plans to roll out Steam Workshop support in "late April", says Wahlund. As hinted at in this roadmap, beta-stage dedicated servers are also planned for this time.
